Sarasota, FL – November 10, 2009 – The Wellness Community of Southwest Florida announces that “Night Of Hope,” their annual fundraising event, will be held at Michael’s On East on Friday March 19, 2010. “The Family Goes Legit” will be an action-packed, interactive Italian-style gala evening chaired by John and Fran LaCivita of Willis-Smith Construction, Inc. The LaCivitas are both cancer survivors and strong supporters of The Wellness Community.

“We can’t thank John and Fran LaCivita enough. This year’s Night of Hope event committee members are energized!” says Jay Lockaby, Executive Director. “They are busy creating a new theme at a new venue for The Wellness Community’s major annual fundraising event. It is so very critical at this time that we continue to be successful at raising funds because the demand for our programs and services, still provided free of charge to people affected by cancer in our community, keeps increasing. So plan to don your best mafia chic attire and join us in support of The Wellness Community March 19th. Or else!”

At “The Family Goes Legit,” gala event guests can expect a magnificent dinner, dancing, and auction. They will be continually surprised throughout the evening, starting the moment they arrive. It is interactive; guests will actually become a part of the event in some very unexpected ways. The stage for the evening will be set in part through the musical entertainment, with Italian classics in a wide variety of styles ranging from symphony to accordion to opera.
